Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Scivra, an individual based in Taiwan ("Scivra", "we", "us"), for your use of scivra.com and its interactive science labs (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Scivra

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these terms, and a parent or guardian must agree to any purchase. A parent may complete checkout and pay for a student's account. Each account is for one learner. Do not share your sign-in details. An account can be signed in on up to four devices at the same time; signing in on a fifth device signs out the oldest session.

2. What the Service includes

Scivra provides browser-based 3D science labs aligned with NGSS, AP and New York Regents topics. The labs are a learning aid. They do not replace laboratory work, credit or assessments required by your school, and we do not promise any particular grade or exam result. We may add, update or retire labs over time.

The labs need a device and browser that support WebGL2, such as a recent laptop, desktop or Chromebook. Some devices, including some school-managed devices, may not be able to display the labs.

AP is a trademark registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with and does not endorse Scivra. NGSS is a registered trademark of WestEd. Neither was involved in producing, and neither endorses, this product.

3. Free access

Anyone can run the three free labs without an account. After you create an account, you can use two additional trial labs for 7 days, starting when you first open one of them. The free period is available once per person. You may not create additional accounts to obtain another free period. No payment card is needed for free access.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

Monthly ($7.99 per month) and Yearly ($34.90 per year) plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance before any price change applies to your renewal.
Lifetime ($99.90, one-time payment) gives access to all current and future labs for as long as Scivra offers the Service, for one account. It does not renew.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Taxes are added only where the law requires us to collect them.
Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the plan you choose and for each renewal.
Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
If a renewal payment fails, you keep access for 7 days while you update your payment method. After that, access to subscriber labs is paused until payment succeeds.

5. Refunds

If this is your first purchase of a plan, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting us. This applies to Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime plans. Renewal charges are not refundable, but cancelling stops the next one. When a full refund is issued, access from that purchase ends right away, and a refunded subscription is cancelled.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Security. If you have an active subscription, we cancel it before deleting the account, so you will not be charged again. Deleting an account ends any Lifetime access tied to it, and that access cannot be restored.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

share, resell or publicly post your account access;
copy, scrape, download or redistribute the labs, their code or their 3D assets, or try to get around access controls;
interfere with the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or overload it;
use the Service in violation of any law.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the labs, models, graphics, text and software, belongs to Scivra or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for your own learning while your account is in good standing.

9. Disclaimers

The labs use simplified scientific models designed for learning. Results are simulations and may differ from real-world measurements. To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Scivra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
